"Healthy Food for a Happy World"

Craving something a bit lighter? Flower Child is a trendy spot to find healthy, made from scratch options for lunch or dinner. They have three locations in Dallas, we visited the one in Uptown.

Dining at Flower Child is an especially great option if you have dietary restrictions as they offer items that are gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free, paleo, vegetarian and vegan. But they have something for everyone!

When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by a cheerful, lively ambiance with a bright, botanical style of decor. There are inspirational and positive blips posted throughout the restaurant that adds to its happy energy!

For lunch, I ordered the Mother Earth Bowl and I added Salmon. My favorite part of this bowl was definitely the cucumber relish, it was SO good. The bowl was tasty, filling and fresh!

We also ordered the three side vegetarian plate and picked the Mac n cheese, yuzu brussel sprouts and watermelon-tomato salad with basil and mint.

First of all, that mac. You’d never know that it’s gluten-free. I don’t typically enjoy gluten-free options, the flavor and texture is usually a bit off for me but I’m telling ya, it was really good. It had a big parmesan flavor and wasn’t super heavy, which I appreciated on a hot afternoon.

Like I said, it was a hot Dallas day so I decided to order the Rose petal lemonade. I wasn’t able to taste the rose petal but lemonade was good nonetheless!

The bar at Flower Child is super cute but is closed for bar seating due to Covid-19. Don’t worry, they’re still serving cocktails, beer and wine! They are also currently offering all bottled beer and wine to-go for 50% off!

Let me say that again… HALF PRICED WINE! (Sorry for those of you reading this once that incredible deal is over!)

This was a fun dining experience! The ambiance is really nice and the decor allows for many great photo ops! You can relax outside on the patio, sit in the main dining room, the lounge, bar or the private dining room if you’re having an event or party.

While I definitely enjoy my share of tacos and pizza, it was really nice to get a healthy meal that did not sacrifice flavor!

Try it out and let me know what you think!
